Bašta Fest continues the old tradition – as part of the non-competitional program, we close the festival with a feature film that (in the opinion of the Bašta team) marked the past year. At this year’s festival on July 7, after the award ceremony, at our open air in the “Borići” park, the audience will have the opportunity to watch the film “That’s It for Today” directed by Marko Đorđević, who will close the festival after the screening. After the very successful debut movie “My Morning Laughter”, Marko’s second film won the hearts of audiences all over the country, and it will be shown for the first time in Bajina Bašta.

On this occasion, director Marko Đorđević said: “Our first Bašta Fest meeting was in 2016. when we showed a film that we thought would remain only for us, that the audience wouldn’t see, and maybe it shouldn’t, and it was called “Bee Stung in Big Little Bees”. We made that film completely freely and completely without money, and it became very close to our hearts very quickly after editing. In a way, it freed us to be more ourselves and to try all the ideas we have, because maybe some of those silly ones will “work”. That’s how I remember Bašta Fest, as a place where everyone feels relieved and free to be who they are and show us the movies they like. When we were brainstorming about what “That’s It for Today” is about, which will be shown at the closing of this year’s festival, actress Ivana Vuković, Višnja in our Šarenac film family, interrupted the theorizing with the sentence: “This is a movie about love!” Then it’s logical why this film is coming at Bašta Fest, a festival that affirms love for film.”

In the film “That’s It for Today” the main roles are Filip Đurić, Ivana Vuković, Nikola Rakočević, Goran Bogdan, Miona Pejaković, Milica Jovović.
