AWARDS

The jury consisting of: Dušan Kasalica, Marta Bjelica and Lana Matić, awarded:
Golden Imagination (the best film as a whole): “North Pole” (dir. Marija Apcevska, North Macedonia, Serbia).
Jury’s explanation: For a highly compelling generational film that boldly and on every level corresponds with the audience.

Golden interpretation (the best female role): Catherine Grosjean for the role of Adèle in the film “Nuclear Family” (dir. Faustine Crespy, Belgium).
Jury’s explanation: For the strong, emotional, but above all subtle performance of the actors.
Golden interpretation (the best male role): Louka Minnella for the role of Jules in the film “Nuclear Family” (dir. Faustine Crespy, Belgium).
Jury’s explanation: For the strong, emotional, but above all subtle performance of the actors.

Special award:

A special award was given to the ensemble cast of the film “Lamblike” (dir. Jovan Dimoski, Serbia).

The jury, composed of: Bojana Andrić, awarded the prize:

Golden visualization (best camera) Director of Photography Ivan Idžojtić for the film “Our First Hit” (dir. Sara Grgurić, Croatia)
Jury’s explanation: I am very proud of the strength of the selection and the next generation of cinematographers. Some films were shot excellently, precisely, in a measured way, and perfect for the story. However, in accordance with this festival, I decided on a bolder, more contemporary and extremely kinesthetic approach to visual storytelling.
This award was established and awarded for the first time in 2016 with the support of Cineplanet rentals.

The youth jury consisting of: Danijel Ristivojević, Ivana Leontijević, Nikola Ćosić, Dragana Stanojković and Luka Jakić, awarded the prize:

Youth Jury Award (Best Film): “Lamblike” (dir. Jovan Dimoski, Serbia)
Jury’s explanation: As the winner, we have chosen the film that we believe best depicts the wishes and dreams of our generation and shows most realistically the harsh reality in which we live. We especially appreciate the way in which, through just a few love scenes, we feel a strong connection between the main characters and their desire for a future together that eludes them.

Bašta Fest awarded:

“Ba šta Čast” to the Daycare centre for children, youth and adults with disabilities and special needs “San” in Bajina Bašta, for their courage and perseverance to turn a long-standing idea into reality, for their selfless and committed work and contribution to the society as a whole.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME

Mentor Nađa Petrović worked with the Youth Jury, consisted of five high school students from Bajina Bašta, discussed the films and helped them make their decision about the best film.
