As part of the sixth Bašta Fest, with the support of the Film Center of Serbia, a new industry program was introduced – a free workshop for project presentation (short feature film up to 30 minutes) for young film directors from Serbia – Bašta Pitch!

From 2022, this program becomes part of the Balkan Short Film Network and expands to the region in cooperation with festivals from North Macedonia – Dream Short Film Festival and Montenegro – Seanema Film Festival.

Five projects are selected from the registered candidates, and directors and producers in multi-day work with mentors go through the preparation for the final pitch (presentation) on the last day of the festival, when the winner is chosen by the jury. The main prize is a cash prize of 1000e for starting work on a short fiction film.

Participants from Serbia, North Montenegro and Macedonia will continue working on their projects at the next two workshops in Struga (Drim Short Film Festival, North Macedonia) and Ulcinj (Seanema Film Festival, Montenegro).
