As part of this year’s, ninth edition of Bašta Fest, we are opening the first program within the BALKAN SHORT FILM NETWORK with our Bašta Pitch workshop. The workshop will take place between 30.06. and 03.07. with the support of the Western Balkans Fund, the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Film Center Serbia.

A four-member jury consisting of mentors of the Bašta Pitch workshop director Raško Miljković and producer Milan Stojanović, Drita Llolla on behalf of the Seanema Film Festival and Jakov Poposki on behalf of the Drim Short Film Festival selected the following projects from a large number of applications:

Serbia
“Avgust” – director Nikola Stojanović, producer Andrijana Manojlović
“Skok na glavu” – director Nikola Romčević, producer Milica Milinković
“Namrgođenost” – director Milica Spasojević, producer Lena Radulović

Montenegro
“Normalan svet” – director Ana Ćulum, producer Anja Kečalović

Macedonia
“Pod pojas” – director Ilija Cvetkovski, producer Aleksandar Zikov

During Bašta Pitch, through their work with the mentors, participants will gain the necessary skills to create and implement a project presentation. On the last day of the festival, all teams will have the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge and hold the final pitch in front of the audience and the jury. The team that gives the best presentation will receive a cash prize of €1000, to be used to kick-start the development of their project.

After Bašta Pitch, the BALKAN SHORT FILM NETWORK program will continue with workshops as part of the 6th Drim Short (August 6-9, 2022) and the 3rd Seanema Film Festival (September 8-11, 2022).

We offer congratulations to the selected participants once again, and we look forward to meeting you!
