We present to you the music program of the ninth Bašta Fest for which we hope you will be dancing in the open, with the most original names in the Serbian club scene. And for the very end of the festival, after the closing and award ceremony, we are listening to the increasingly popular Belgrade band – KOIKOI. One of the members of this band is the great actor Marko Grabež, whom we have often watched in films at the Bašta Fest.

Ninth Bašta Fest, the International Short Fiction Film Festival, is held from June 30 to July 3, 2022. We continued the tradition as the festival brings together the most interesting filmmakers and actors from around the world in one place – in Bajina Bašta! The music program is held in the “Borići” park, it starts immediately after the screenings of films, every night during the festival.

On Thursday, June 30, we will listen to DJ Luton, who is cruising throughout the house genre in his DJ sets, bringing rhythm and various genres, starting from folklore, through jazz, to electronics, and actively playing drums. He has been DJ-ing since 2016, so far we have listened to him at the festivals Lovefest, Exit, and No Sleep, and he is often DJ-ing together with his brother Šćepine Vragolije.

DJ Timbe will perform on the next day, July 1, at the Bašta Fest music stage. His set is based on hip hop and RnB, which combines various directions that inspire him – funk, soul, neo-soul, breakbeat… Timbe is known both as a solo hip hop artist and as well as the member of the band Bad Copy.

Saturday, July 2, is reserved for the Bašta Party and Čola night – the night of songs by the most beloved singer of the local audience – Zdravko Čolić.

The program ends on Sunday, July 4 with the performance of the band KOIKOI and the DJ set of Funk Technic Group. KOI KOI consists Marko Grabež, Ivana Miljković, Emilija Đorđević and Ivan Pavlović Gizmo – creatives from different winds of the local scene with a clear common goal of creating quality indie rock/pop, with which they decisively fill the gap between the amplitude of mainstream and underground intimacy, which on the entire Balkan music scene has existed for too long. At the beginning of 2021, KOIKOI became a new member of the family of Mr Moonlee, and the result is the debut album “Pozivi u stranu”, which will write the history of indie-rock music in the region. KOI KOI is included in a new program launched by the Impala-Independent Music Companies Association in collaboration with Youtube called “100 ARTIST TO WATCH”.

Funk Technik Group are the regular hosts of the Bašta Party, and this DJ duo consists of Stefan Saveski and Nebojša Ilić from Belgrade, who appear at the end of 2015 and start the b2b carousel on gramophones. In addition to Jazz / Soul / Funk / Disco / Boogie music that shaped and directed this DJ duo, you can also hear Reggae / Afrobeat / Hip Hop and Dance music in their sets. In 2017, they became members of the White City Soul organization that collaborates and brings in international DJs.

The entire program of the Bašta Fest is held in Bajina Basta – outdoors and it is FREE, so you are more than welcome to join us and enjoy the film-music-educational adventure!
