The festival will close on July 5 with an awards ceremony followed by a special screening of Yugo Florida, directed by Vladimir Tagić. After successful appearances at film festivals in Sarajevo, Herceg Novi, Podgorica, Split, and Belgrade, the film continues its acclaimed festival run.

The leading roles are played by Andrija Kuzmanović, Nikola Pejaković, and Hana Selimović. The story follows the lonely Zoran, who has a highly responsible job: monitoring reality-show contestants as they sleep. His “exciting” daily routine is turned upside down by unexpected life circumstances that lead him on one final journey with his estranged father.

“I first came to Bašta Fest in 2015 with my graduation film. I was 29 years old and thought I was already too old and that the festival should be left to younger people,” said Tagić. “Now that I’m forty, I see those twenty-nine years a little differently. Jokes aside, I love Bašta Fest and I love Bajina Bašta. Every time I come to Bašta Fest, I have a great time and am reminded of how important it is to nurture a youthful spirit and a love of cinema. I’m delighted that our film is closing the festival, and I can’t wait to see the audience’s reactions.”
