As part of the sixth Bašta Fest, with the support of the Film Center of Serbia, a new industry program was introduced: a free project presentation workshop (for short fiction films up to 30 minutes) for young film directors and producers – Bašta Pitch! This year, the SEVENTH Bašta Pitch awaits us; it will take place during the festival, from July 2 to July 6, 2026.

We invite directors and producers from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia to submit their short fiction film projects for consideration. Five projects will be selected , and each project will have two representatives – a director and a producer, a total of 10 workshop participants.

As part of Bašta Pitch, in several days of work with mentors, director Raško Miljković and producer Milan Stojanović, the participants will go through the preparation for the final pitch (presentation) on the last day of the festival, when the winner will be chosen. The winner receives a cash prize of €1,000 for starting work on his achievement.

This year, the festival will have a special emphasis on environmentally sustainable production practices, and participants will also attend two online lectures on this topic in June as preparation for their work at the festival.
